About Us

Karma Audio Productions is no newcomer when it comes to professional-grade microphones. Its history traces back to a partnership with sE Electronics, another microphone brand. During these early years, Karma Audio Productions gained expertise in engineering and manufacturing high-quality, affordable microphones. After splitting from sE Electronics, Karma Audio Productions launched a full range of “Karma” brand microphones suitable for professional and home recording studios alike. The microphones proved so popular with customers in the United States that Karma could not manufacture enough to keep them in stock. Karma has since increased its manufacturing capacity and looks forward to serving customers in Great Britain and Europe for future growth.

Karma Audio’s product philosophy is to provide distinctive, affordable, and high-quality microphones that enable a new generation of recording engineers to produce music. At the core of this philosophy is Karma Audio Productions approach to product design and distribution methods. Critical elements that determine a microphone’s sound quality are maintained in Karma product designs, while needless complexities are eliminated to reduce prices customers pay. Karma understands that customer feedback is integral for the success of its product line and routinely incorporates user-demanded features and changes to new and existing product designs.

Karma Audio’s distinctive advantage in microphone technology starts with the diaphragm – the thin piece of material that vibrates when struck by sound waves. In manufacturing diaphragms, Karma chooses the best materials and processes to ensure superior sound quality and lifelong use. This is achieved by applying Karma’s high-accuracy 24K Sputter Evaporation Process on premium, long duration 6-Micron polyester membranes. This process produces a more consistent coating, and thus higher quality sound when compared to alternative techniques used by other microphone manufacturers. Karma microphones also feature simple design innovations to increase usability. For example, Genuine Black Leather is wrapped around the microphone’s exterior to provide increased grip and is warm to the touch – a welcome contrast to most other microphones that are cold and slippery. Another design innovation is the Karma Silver Bullet mini-condenser microphone. The Silver Bullet is arguably the world’s smallest and most affordable condenser microphone measuring in at just less than 50 millimeters. Whether recording in wide open spaces or prohibitively tight areas, Karma microphones are well adapted to provide great results.
